Feisty 91 year-old grandmother Vera is roused in the middle of the night by an unexpected visitor. It’s Leo, her 21 year‑old grandson, who has been traveling on a bike for months, and now he’s looking for a place to hunker down. The action in this quirky dramatic comedy takes place in a tiny apartment in New York City’s West Village. Over the course of a single month, these unlikely roommates infuriate, bewilder, and ultimately reach each other.

Lobby Art Exhibit
Exhibiting in the Aurora lobby during the run of 4000 Miles will be the artwork of Nancy Abuaisheh. The art in this exhibit was particularly created for Aurora’s production of Les Misérables.
“There are things in life that can’t be put into words, for me art is a state of extended emotion and why it is a part of our world. I don’t sketch before a piece or touch up afterwards. I let the painting be. I was fortunate to grow up in a part of the world where nature itself could evoke a strong response, this is where my art was born. As a young girl my family emigrated to the United States, this new life experience enriched my being and translated into my art, creating a boundless pathway into the horizon. My daring use of color is balanced through textures and is most evident in my abstract art. For me art is more than paint, light and shading, it is a reflection of my soul. As with all artists, their art is the sum total of their experience up to that point. It may display love, desire, rage, or anger, but it is always the truth.”
