I’m Not Rappaport

By Herb Gardner
Directed by David De Vries

Starring Rob Cleveland and Kenny Raskin
Suzi Recommended

This 1985 Tony Award winner is the touching humorous tale of two old men who inhabit a bench in New York’s Central Park. Nat Moyer, a feisty Jewish man, spins tall tales and doesn’t want his daughter dumping him into an old folk’s home, while half-blind, cantankerous African-American Midge Carter, hides from his disgruntled tenants.

In light of this growth, how do we craft a society that promotes a healthy respect and regard for our senior citizens? Please join us for this urgent conversation that seeks to raise awareness for how we treat and care for our culture’s best source of wisdom and insight into life experience: our elders.
