Summer Camp 2016 with Professional Training for Grades 1–12
Aurora Theatre Academy’s extensive array of camp classes for Summer 2016 are right around the corner. Enrollment is now open for a coveted spot. Aurora Theatre Director of Education, Jaclyn Hofmann, has put together an incredible team of teaching professionals, most of whom you will recognize from professional theatrical productions around Atlanta or from the screen anywhere from Georgia Lottery commercials to HBO. This summer, Aurora Theatre Academy will prepare students of all skill levels to perform like professionals. Located on the square in downtown Lawrenceville, all classes will culminate in a showcase in Aurora’s exquisite facility.

Summer Musical for Grades 3–12
For the third year in a row, Aurora Theatre Academy is producing a summer musical! Students will attend three weeks of classes in acting, singing and dancing, as well as rehearse and perform The Wiz* at the end of the session. They will do four performances on our Mainstage. Students will be taught and directed by some of Atlanta’s finest professional Musical Theatre Actors.
June 6–25, from 10:30am-4:00pm
Tuition $600* per Camper
Morning Care from 8:00–10:30am is available.
1-Week Starmaker Camp for Rising 3rd-8th Grade

A one week Musical Theatre Extravaganza! This camp will learn valuable acting and singing technique while rehearsing a short selection of some of your favorite show stoppers! They will then perform a short showcase of these materials at the end of the day on the 29th for friends & family to see.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAMPS
Elementary School Students Grades 1–5 (Mini: Grades 1–3, Master: Grades 4–5)
Camp Aurora gives students the opportunity to spend a week at Aurora where they can learn what it takes to put on a performance. This production class will provide students with valuable stage experience, all the while encouraging teamwork and collaboration with peers. The experience instills a sense of self-confidence in our students. In these half-day sessions, students will be active participants in creating portions of the sets, costumes, and props for these exciting, whirlwind productions presented to family and friends:

Students may choose from morning and afternoon sessions on June 27–July 1 or July 11–15. For the June sessions, they may opt to do both morning and afternoon sessions and stay for lunch in between.

Esta clase de producción no solo proporcionará a los estudiantes con valiosa experiencia en el escenario sino que a la vez fomentará el trabajo en equipo y la colaboración entre compañeros. Esta experiencia infunde en nuestros estudiantes un gran sentido de confianza en sí mismos. En estas sesiones de medio día, los estudiantes participaran activamente en la creación de personajes para una emocionante producción de cuentos provenientes de la cultura hispana para luego ser presentada a sus familiares y amistades!

Acting Edge Camp
Middle and High School Students Grades 6–12
The Acting Edge camp explores the craft of acting through various styles: Stanislavski, Shakespeare, Stage Combat, Improvisation classes, and more! This two-week camp will culminate with a Showcase of scenes and sketches in our Studio Theatre for Friends and Family to come see!

Guerrilla Theatre Camp
Middle & High School Students Grades 6–12
Guerrilla Theatre Camp for Middle & High School Students breaks the boundaries of the stage and brings theatre to students in fun and exciting ways. Learn many of the styles that shatter the convention of the fourth wall, from Commedia dell’Arte to Improv Comedy and even Flash Mobs! You would have to be “bananas” to miss out on Guerrilla Theatre!
