megan_hayesMegan Hayes (Playwright) is an actor, writer and teacher. She received her BFA in Acting from NYU. Megan taught Middle School Drama at Holy Innocents’ where she directed the Shuler Hensley nominated production of Grease. She was accepted into the MFA Directing/Screenwriting Program at Columbia University. You may have seen her on stage at Aurora or teaching our Aurora Academy Classes. Megan is currently filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She is playing the Female Morphling Tribute from District 6. Unnecessary Monsters is dedicated in loving memory of Vincenzo Tortorici.
jaclyn_hofmannJaclyn Hofmann (Director) is the Director of Education here at Aurora Theatre. She holds her BFA in Theatre Performance at Jacksonville University and MFA in Acting from Michigan State University. She currently teaches at Georgia Gwinnett College. Jaclyn is a proud co-founder of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project. Recent Acting Credits: Alls Well That Ends Well (Shakespeare Tavern), Anton in Show Business (Weird Sisters Theatre Project) and Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom (Aurora). Jaclyn is so happy to be a part of this important project striving to make a change! As always, “Love to my family and Nick!”
katie_causeyKatie Causey (Max/Amanda/Ensemble) is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Theatre and English. Katie’s past credits include Lydia in All My Sons,  Rosalind in As You Like It and Margo in Dark Ride. She is also an alumna and former leader of UGA’s award-winning improv troupe, Improv Athens. Katie is honored and excited to be a part of Aurora’s 2012-13 Apprentice Company! You can see her on the main stage this March in The Drowsy Chaperone!
adam_fiddlerAdam Fiddler (Jayden/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of Aurora’s first apprentice program. Adam was born and raised in Dacula, GA and recently graduated from UGA with a BA in Theatre and English, so he’s no stranger to these parts. Recent Acting Credits: Hidden Man, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and The 39 Steps. Earlier this season he was seen on the main stage in Betrayal. He also wrote, directed and acted in a musical based on The Decemberists album, The Hazards of Love.
renita_jamesRenita James (Madison/Ensemble) is totes excited to be a part of the Aurora Apprentice Company and the World Premier of Unnecessary Monsters! This message is one that she holds dear to her heart and is super thrilled to share it with everyone. Some of Renita’s past credits include: Petite Rouge in Petite Rouge (Syncronicity Theatre & Aurora Theatre), Tessie in White Christmas (Peach State Summer Theatre) and Wisewoman in Gloria (Busch Gardens Williamsburg). She would also like to take a moment to thank her family for being so supportive of her on this amazing journey. “Thanks mom and dad, you guys are legit!”
jon_wierenga.jpgJon Wierenga (Connor/Ensemble) received his BFA in Acting from Michigan State University in 2011. He is so happy to be a part of the Aurora Apprentice Company! Since moving to Atlanta in January of 2012, Jon has worked with the Process Theatre Company and the Essential Theatre Festival. He would like to thank his awesome friends and Aurora Theatre. You can see him this spring on the main stage in The Drowsy Chaperone!
alex_westAlex B. West (Assistant Director/Stage Manager) holds a BFA in Acting from Michigan State University. His regional credits include Doc in Leading Ladies, Allen/Nella in The Girls of 509 (Summer Circle Company), various roles in Wiley and the Hairy Man (Tipping Point Theatre) and Moses LaRue in the world premiere of Sundown Town (TheatreSquared). Alex has also done some playwriting and film work. He is so happy to be a part of the first ever Aurora Apprentice Company! Most recently he was seen in Petite Rouge (Aurora & Synchronicity) and can be seen this summer on the main stage in Les Misérables!
