Aurora Swing Nights featuring The Metro Jazz Club
We continue our popular Aurora Swing Nights concert series with Salute to Hollywood on April 16 at 8:00pm. This concert will include selections from some favorites of the silver screen.
The concert series features the Metro Jazz Club, a smokin’-hot 17 piece band dedicated to the preservation of some of the best music ever composed. Led by jazz sax man Gary Dalton, Metro Jazz Club has two amazing vocalists, velvety crooner Jason Joines and zesty diva Amanda Richards.
Two stars from Aurora’s 20th Anniversary Season opener, the Tony Award-Winner, Memphis will be appearing as very special guest vocalists for this event. Aurora audiences will remember Cecil E. Washington, Jr as Marius from Les Misérables. Audiences will remember Naima Carter Russell as a member of the Suzi Award-nominated ensemble of Lark Eden.
This season all Aurora Swing Nights concerts will be on Thursday nights at one of the most spectacular event facilities in Gwinnett, 550 Trackside. This gorgeous setting built in 1904 contains granite walls, archways, and original wood, all restored to their natural beauty. 550 Trackside is located just off the Lawrenceville Square, along the tracks, right across from the old Lawrenceville train depot. 550 Trackside offers patrons a full bar and parking is FREE.
