New Venue. New Night.
Aurora Swing Nights featuring The Metro Jazz Club
Aurora Theatre continues the popular Aurora Swing Nights concert series with My Jazzy Valentine on February 12 at 8:00pm. This year the concerts will be on Thursday nights at one of the most spectacular event facilities in Gwinnett, 550 Trackside. This gorgeous setting built in 1904 contains granite walls, archways and original wood, all restored to their natural beauty. 550 Trackside is located just off the Lawrenceville Square, along the tracks, right across from the old Lawrenceville train depot.
The concert series still features the Metro Jazz Club, a smokin’-hot 17 piece band dedicated to the preservation of some of the best music ever composed. Led by jazz sax man Gary Dalton, Metro Jazz Club has two amazing vocalists, velvety crooner Jason Joines and zesty diva Amanda Richards. Joining the fun are Aurora favorites Jeremy Wood and Laura Floyd. Little did audiences know when these two portrayed fiancées in Aurora’s 2010 hit musical A Catered Affair that Jeremy and Laura would end up as a real-life married couple. This romantic tale of love launched at Aurora Theatre makes these two the perfect guest vocalists for My Jazzy Valentine. Both will be appearing in the highly anticipated regional premiere of the recent Broadway hit Hands on a Hardbody, Aurora’s 2014–2015 Season finale coming in May.
550 Trackside offers patrons a full bar and parking is FREE.
