Kim’s Convenience

Mr. Kim dispenses fatherly wisdom, history lessons and potato chips from behind his convenience store counter. When he receives an unexpected offer for his store situated in an up-and-coming neighborhood, he has a difficult decision. Take the money and give in to the developers that closed his wife’s beloved church or convince his daughter to follow in his footsteps. No matter what, humor finds its way onto every aisle of Kim’s Convenience, an award-winning play that is now a hit series on Netflix.

Seven Stories from Seven Continents

Master Storyteller and children’s author Mama Koku makes her Aurora Children’s Playhouse debut with Seven Continents Seven Stories. All cultures create stories. We’ll travel around the world without ever leaving Georgia to each continent and grab a popular folktale. Koku is a featured Storyteller for children’s programs at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; Atlanta Botanical Garden, The High Museum of Art; The Children’s Museum of Atlanta; and many other school, festival, and arts venues across Metro-Atlanta and the southeast.  Koku was the Official Teller for the National Black Arts Festival’s Children’s Educational Village and the Official Teller of Coretta Scott King Book Awards Book Fair of over ten years. All of this to say she is an expert on delighting children with great stories.

Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos has performed in clubs and for major conferences across the country and internationally. He has worked with comedicans such as Last Comic Standing winners Jon Reep, John Heffron, Josh Blue, Alonzo Bodden, and MAD TV’S Pablo Francisco. He is a regular at the punchline comedy club and he has just recorded a comedy special at the famous Dry Bar in Provo, Utah.

The BorderCollies

Brewed in Florida, aged to perfection in LA, the genius of Tom Petty was at it’s very best with the Heartbreakers. One just doesn’t find a lead guitarist like Mike Campbell in a friend’s back room or a keyboardist like Benmont Tench, the son of a Florida judge who had to fight to be a musician. But Tom Petty did and the Heartbreakers were every bit a 5 piece gang. The Mad Hatters are seasoned Atlanta pro’s who’ve made it a mission to replicate the Heartbreakers “NEW” Rock and Roll sound and vibe.. Band members include Vegas Dave Turner…Vocals/Guitar, Fred McNeal… Guitar/Vocals, Wayne Vokovich… Bass/Vocals, Todd Johnston…Drums/Vocals and Asher McKinney…Keys/Vocals.

You are going to love his April-foolishness as right before your eyes, the impossible happens. It’s not necessarily magic, but Arthur Atsma has a way of making tickets disappear, therefore reservations are strongly recommended for this popular performance!
