Club Babalú: Parranda Navideña
Dec 16, 2023
Last Christmas Teatro Aurora’s Club Babalú brought the spirt the Puerto Rican tradition of Parranda to the concert stage. The result was holiday magic. Sometimes compared to carolers, the Parranda is more raucous and festive. Traditionally the trulla, or group of revelers, will sneak up to a house usually very late or in the middle of the night and surprise the unsuspecting family with holiday singing. The result is an impromptu late night Christmas party with lots of music and joy. This December, Frankie and the Atlanta Sala All-Stars won’t be sneaking to your house, but they are bringing authentic island holiday vibes to the LAC!
