The perfect opportunity to introduce young children to the world of crafts and costume design. During this 2 week-long camp, students will help design and create costume pieces for our Summer Camp Musical Lion King Jr. Students will learn skills like mask making, the basics of theatrical make-up, and the art of taking items from blah to bedazzled!

This camp will introduce young children to the world of costume design by working in the Thurmon Family Costume Shop at Lawrenceville Arts Center. During this 2 week-long camp, students will participate in helping design and create costume pieces for our Summer Camp Musical Lion King Jr! Students will learn skills like mask making, the basics of theatrical make-up and effects, and the art of taking items from blah to bedazzled!

The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Timbo, & Pumba and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. This camp will culminate in a final performance for friends and family.

Dog Man Experience: Fetch 22 Grades 1st-3rd Taught by: Jackie Glassman |
Based on the 8th book of the DogMan Series- Can Petey and Dog Man put aside their differences and work together as a team? In this acting and production class, students will learn what it’s like to workshop a play culminating in a performance inspired by Fetch 22.

This intensive will cover the fundamentals of self tapes and on-camera acting techniques. Students will use scripts from their favorite shows like Bunk’d, Descendants, Riverdale, Stranger Things, and more!
Students of this class must be great readers.
Film Series Part 2: Production & Filmmaking Grades 3rd-12th |
Want to be a screenwriter, film director, editor or producer? This Part 2 intensive is for aspiring filmmakers who want to put behind the camera skills to work in real time! This camp will end in a viewing of their short film!
Dog Man Experience: Brawl of the Wild Grades 4th-5th Taught by Kristen Oliver |
Based on the 6th book of the Dog Man Series- Is Dog Man bad to the bone? Not really! But he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit! In this acting and production class, students will explore the concept of false identity flexing their acting chops. This class will culminate in a performance inspired by Brawl of the Wild.

We understand the importance of giving each young artist performer the tools they need to reach excellence while strengthening their stage presence, dancing skills, and vocal ability. That’s why we have created this character packed show to help each and every performer shine!

In this comprehensive Broadway Bootcamp, students will be kept in their age groups learning various subjects related to theater such as acting, design, or directing, according to their interest.

Sister Act JR. Musical Theatre Intensive Grades 7th-12th Directed by Greg Hunter, Aurora Theatre Company Manager Choreographed by Pytron Parker, Sister Act Choreographer Music Directed by Ann-Carol Pence, Aurora Theatre Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director **Our teen cast will perform side-by-side our professionals at the 6/15 matinee** |
Even nuns can sometimes go wild! In this 3 week intensive, students will master the songs and dances while rehearsing Sister Act Jr. Using mentors from Aurora’s professional cast, our teen cast will perform on the Grand Stage as the grand finale to a 3-week show that employs the same world class set, lights, props, sound and costumes of our professional production.
