The Lion King JR. Crafts Camp

Grades 1st-3rd
June 3 – 14, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

The perfect opportunity to introduce young children to the world of crafts and costume design. During this 2 week-long camp, students will help design and create costume pieces for our Summer Camp Musical Lion King Jr. Students will learn skills like mask making, the basics of theatrical make-up, and the art of taking items from blah to bedazzled! 


The Lion King JR. Costumes Camp

Grades 4th-5th
June 3 – 14, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

This camp will introduce young children to the world of costume design by working in the Thurmon Family Costume Shop at Lawrenceville Arts Center. During this 2 week-long camp, students will participate in helping design and create costume pieces for our Summer Camp Musical Lion King Jr! Students will learn skills like mask making, the basics of theatrical make-up and effects, and the art of taking items from blah to bedazzled! 


The Lion King JR. Musical Theatre Camp

Grades 3rd-8th
June 3 – 22, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Timbo, & Pumba and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. This camp will culminate in a final performance for friends and family.

Dog Man Experience: Fetch 22

Grades 1st-3rd
June 24 – 28, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

Based on the 8th book of the DogMan Series- Can Petey and Dog Man put aside their differences and work together as a team? In this acting and production class, students will learn what it’s like to workshop a play culminating in a performance inspired by Fetch 22.


Film Series Part 1: Acting for the Camera

Grades 3rd-12th
June 24 – 28, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

This intensive will cover the fundamentals of self tapes and on-camera acting techniques. Students will use scripts from their favorite shows like Bunk’d, Descendants,  Riverdale, Stranger Things, and more!

Students of this class must be great readers.


Film Series Part 2: Production & Filmmaking

Grades 3rd-12th
July 8 – 12, 2024  | 10:30AM-4PM

Want to be a screenwriter, film director, editor or producer? This Part 2 intensive is for aspiring filmmakers who want to put behind the camera skills to work in real time! This camp will end in a viewing of their short film!


Dog Man Experience: Brawl of the Wild

Grades 4th-5th
July 8 – 12, 2024 | 10:30AM-4PM

Based on the 6th book of the Dog Man Series- Is Dog Man bad to the bone? Not really! But he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit!  In this acting and production class, students will explore the concept of false identity flexing their acting chops. This class will culminate in a performance inspired by Brawl of the Wild.


Believe It or Not: Disney Edition

Grades K-2nd
July 8 – 26, 2024 | 10:30AM-4PM

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER our rising young playmakers will present their very own full length production where anything can happen if you just believe! Featuring scenes and songs from Aurora Academy Summer Musical favorites like Lion King, Willy Wonka, Frozen, Moana, Jungle Book and so many more!

We understand the importance of giving each young artist performer the tools they need to reach excellence while strengthening their stage presence, dancing skills, and vocal ability. That’s why we have created this character packed show to help each and every performer shine!


Triple Threat Boot Camp

Grades 3rd-12th
July 15 – 26, 2024 | 10:30AM-4PM

In this comprehensive Broadway Bootcamp, students will be kept in their age groups learning various subjects related to theater such as acting, design, or directing, according to their interest.

Sister Act JR. Musical Theatre Camp

Grades 7th-12th

Even nuns can sometimes go wild! In this intensive, students get to learn the songs and dances from Sister Act the Musical by Aurora’s professional cast members. All Students will also get the chance to put on a final performance for friends and family.

This class is a great opportunity for those who want to try acting for the first time or those returning who want to brush up their foundations. It will give a solid base for performance including various techniques which will focus on presence, awareness, and character development.
