Join us this summer for our 2023 Summer Camp sessions. Once enrolled, your student will spend time with us honing their crafts and building confidence. We pride ourselves on hiring teaching artists currently working in their field. This provides our students with top notch instruction and experience needed to grow as artists.

Disney + Pixar Finding Nemo Jr Musical Theatre Grades rising 1st – 8th June 5-24, 10:30am-4pm $675 |
Performances on June 23 at 11:30am and 4pm; June 24 at 11:30am and 2pm
Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen). This camp is ideal for young performers. Our Finding Nemo JR camps takes young performers on the magical journey of producing a full musical. Campers will be walked through the processes of auditions, rehearsals, and of course, performance! Students will receive intense training in the 3 major elements of stage performance (voice, dance and acting), as well as the fundamentals of musical theatre.

Mean Girls Jr. Musical Theatre Grades rising 9th-12th July 10-29, Monday-Friday 10:30AM-4:00PM $675 |
Performances on July 28 at 11:30am and 4pm; July 29 at 11:30am and 2pm
The most fetch musical ever is coming to Aurora Theatre and we want you in it! In this intensive, students learn lyrics and dance. They will be will be working with industry professionals in order to put on a showstopping performance for friends and family.

Costumes and Crafts Grades 1st-5th June 5-9, Monday-Friday 10:30AM-4:00PM $325 |
This camp will introduce young children to the world of fashion by working in the Thurmon Family Costume Shop at Lawrenceville Arts Center. During this week-long camp, students will participate in mask making, the basics of theatrical make-up and effects, and the art of embellishment taking items from blah to bedazzled!

Boot Camp Series Grades rising 1st-5th July 10-21, 10:30AM-4:00PM $550 |
Get three classes for one price. Voice, Acting, and Dance. This series will take you through these fundamental skills that every younger performer should have.
Voice: This intensive will help students learn and conquer their vocal abilities while storytelling through song. Students will learn to be a strong ensemble in this performing class.
Acting for the Stage: This intensive will cover the fundamentals of basic stage acting techniques like character development and stage presence. This class ends in a performance.
Dance: This intensive will cover techniques best used to ace any dance call or dance style. Contemporary, hip-hop, lyrical, and ballet, to name a few!

The Actor’s Nightmare Grades 6th-8th June 26-30, Monday-Friday 10:30AM-4:00PM $325 |
Students will choose scenes from this comic play that involves an unseeming accountant being mistaken for an actor’s understudy and forced to perfom a play for which they do not know of the lines!

Students will be helping create the Costumes for our Opening Musical (Beautiful) in this hands-on fast moving intensive. Perfect for those who know the basics of sewing and fabrics.
What distinguishes Aurora Theatre Academy from other drama classes is that students have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a professional theatre, and their instructors are working professionals with years of real-world theatrical experience. In addition to receiving training to be a winner on stage, students build confidence, communication, and life skills that will be a valuable part of their bright futures.
