Alma Mexicana Danza Folklórica

Join Alma Mexicana as they dance their way through the diverse cultures of sunny Mexico! You will visit several regions, see vibrant costumes and enjoy traditional dancing styles. When the music moves you, you may dance a little too!

Alma Mexicana— meaning Mexican Soul—is an Atlanta-based dance group that performs traditional Mexican dances. They perform dances from – Veracruz, Chihuahua, Michoacan, Sinaloa, Yucatan among others.

About Aurora Children’s Playhouse

Aurora Theatre assembles the best children’s performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County in order to give parents and their children a chance to experience their artistry in our amazing facility in downtown Lawrenceville. We feature puppeteers, magicians, storytellers, jugglers and musicians as a part of this series intended for youngsters to have their first theatrical experiences. At about 45 minutes in length, perfect for the young attention span, these lively performances are fun for the whole family.

• Outdoor Event (Restrooms will be available inside the facility where a mask for anyone over the age of 2 is required).
• If you are not fully vaccinated, we encourage you to wear a mask. Aurora staff and volunteers will be masked regardless of vaccination status.
• Anyone exhibiting any signs of a coronavirus, including but not limited to cough, fatigue, headache, excessive sneezing or elevated temperature, are asked to stay home.
• Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
• We are all in this together – we encourage wearing masks when moving about and not eating or drinking.

We believe that maintaining the health and safety of our community, including our staff, artists and patrons, shouldn’t be a matter of debate or political preference. To that end, we ask everyone in our community to respect these policies.
