What distinguishes Aurora Theatre Academy from other drama classes is that students have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a professional theatre, and their instructors are working professionals with years of real-world theatrical experience. In addition to receiving training to be a winner on stage, students build confidence, communication, and life skills that will be a valuable part of their bright futures.

Mejores Amigos Bilingual Camp (Grades 1-5, Acting Camp)
This production class will provide students with valuable stage experience, all the while encouraging teamwork and collaboration with peers. The experience instills a sense of self-confidence in our students. In these full-day sessions, students will be active participants in character creation for these exciting, whirlwind productions of fairy tales from Hispanic Culture presented to family and friends!
Esta clase de producción no solo proporcionará a los estudiantes con valiosa experiencia en el escenario sino que a la vez fomentará el trabajo en equipo y la colaboración entre compañeros. Esta experiencia infunde en nuestros estudiantes un gran sentido de confianza en sí mismos. En estas sesiones de día completo, los estudiantes participaran activamente en la creación de personajes para una emocionante producción de cuentos provenientes de la cultura hispana para luego ser presentada a sus familiares y amistades!

Children of Eden Experience (Grades 6-12, Musical Camp)
In this two-week intensive students learn and perform hits from one of Broadway’s most prolific composers, Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, and Wicked). The class will include special behind-the-scenes looks at Aurora’s Season 24 opener, Children of Eden, as well as visits from the artists behind the show.

Frozen, Jr. (Grades 3-12) – SOLD OUT
Once again, Aurora Theatre Academy is producing a summer musical! Students will attend three weeks of classes in acting, singing, and dancing, as well as rehearse and perform Frozen, Jr. at the end of the session. They will do 4 performances on our Mainstage: Friday, June 21 at 11:30am & 4pm and Saturday, June 22 at 11:30am & 2pm.
Students will be taught and directed by some of Atlanta’s finest professional Musical Theatre actors. They’ll be divided into age groups for their classes, but perform the show all together. It’s an amazing experience for any aspiring actor or theatre lover.

Heroes & Villains (Grades 3-5, Acting Camp) – SOLD OUT

This production class will provide students with valuable stage experience, all the while encouraging teamwork and collaboration with peers. The experience instills a sense of self-confidence in our students. In these full-day sessions, students will be active participants in creating portions of the sets, costumes, and props for these exciting, whirlwind productions presented to family and friends.
Disneymania (Grades 3-8, Musical Camp)
Shakespearean Takedown (Grades 6-12, Acting Camp) – SOLD OUT
This one-week camp explores the craft of acting through various styles: Stanislavski, Shakespeare, Stage Combat, Improvisation, and more, and culminates with a showcase of Shakespeare’s best fight scenes in our Studio Theatre for friends and family to enjoy.

Aurora offers students both financial need and talent-based scholarship opportunities. Through the continued support of Scott Hudgens Family Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Suwanee, and other generous groups, Aurora Theatre Academy is able to offer students the valuable experience of honing their craft with seasoned professionals.
FINANCIAL NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
For those interested in applying for financial need-based scholarships, download the application here. We will begin informing applicants if they have received a scholarship on 5/1. If you submit your application after 5/1, you can expect to hear within 2 weeks.
NOTE: Applying for a scholarship does not reserve your student’s place in a class. Please call the Box Office to put down a deposit if you would like to hold your student’s spot.
