The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller
From the story by Washington Irving
Directed by Katie Chambers
This October, bring your students to a weekday morning reenactment of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by American literary great Washington Irving. Superstitious schoolmaster Icabod Crane must rely on superior wit against village brute Brom Bones in order to win the hand of the beautiful Katrina, the prettiest gal in Tarrytown. But like any great ghost story, Icabod’s own fears of the legendary Headless Horseman and of a so-called haunted bridge may get the better of him. The thrilling conclusion of this eerie tale will make your heart race.
Aurora Theatre Learning Library brings these vivid characters of the 18th century to life in the perfect educational field trip.
