Lydia Eku

LYDIA EKU is a bold, and dynamic actor, vocalist and creator! Deeming herself as a #RenaissanceWoman. A native from Louisville, KY, she credits the city for building her and her family for shaping her. Now having been in Atlanta, she has covered quite some ground within the theatre community, as well as within the realm of film/TV! As a young black artist, she strives to make any audience stay captivated within each performance and venture. Looking at gigs more so as “collabs,” as collaborations help to build connections between artists and creators alike. Theatre: The Color Purple (Actors Express) The First Noel (Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre), and In the Red and Brown Water (Marietta’s NEW Theatre in the Square), The Old Ship of Zion (Essential Theatre), amongst others. She also performed in Broadway’s After Midnight aboard the Norwegian Escape as a production vocalist. Most recently, she filmed with the cast of RESPECT, set to premiere mid 2021! She is co-host of the podcast Black Table Read and has her YouTube series #RenaissanceWomanTV. Both programs look to elevate young artists to be the change they want to see, hear, and be inspired to be their best selves. This performance is for Cassaundra Antoinette Trabue. Follow her journey!
