Headliner Dan Mengini
Calling all Over-thinkers … you’ve met your match!
Dan’s “Too worried about too little and not really smart enough to do anything about it” mindset combined with his slim stature earned him the nickname “Featherweight Champion of Over-thinking!” It’s truthful and brilliant comedy that’ll keep you laughing for a lifetime. He delivers a show that’s fun, relatable, and a great cure for loneliness!
Notable television appearances include Pure Flix Comedy All-Stars , Laughs on FOX , Showtime’s Homeland , USA Network’s Necessary Roughness , Lifetime TV’s Drop Dead Diva , The CW’s One Tree Hill , and starring roles on two Adultswim live action shows. He has also appeared in over 50 National TV Commercials and tours Comedy Clubs, Colleges, Corporate Events, and Theaters across the country. His last name is pronounced “Men ghee nee”.
Dan also appeared in the feature film “42”. Directed by Academy Award® winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential) and starring Harrison Ford, Christopher Meloni, & Chadwick Boseman. 42 tells the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey.
Feature Jenny Jennings
Growing up with a mullet and a heavy southern accent wasn’t easy for Jenny, so it’s no wonder why she’s taken the stage to talk about her complicated upbringing. From conversations with anxiety, to the stresses of being single after a long term relationship, Jenny brings an energetic persona to the stage, minus the mullet. Jenny is an actress who is mostly known for her role as Melanie in the Lifetime movie, “I Killed My BFF.” Jenny has had the pleasure of performing as a guest at the 2017 Laughing Skull Lounge Comedy Festival as well as Resurgens Comedy Festival. Jenny can be seen on Best of Atlanta showcase at Laughing Skull Lounge throughout the year.
With host Katie Causey
Katie Causey is an actor and comedian living in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia (with two degrees she’s currently not using) and was a member of the first ever Apprenticeship Company at the Aurora Theatre. Since completing the Apprenticeship Katie has immersed herself in Atlanta’s ever growing film industry working with Burger King, the PGA, and Coca-Cola for a variety of commercials. Katie’s main passion, however, is comedy. Whether she is performing stand-up, improvising with the group, BANSHEE Improv, or acting, Katie loves making people laugh. When performing stand-up, Katie enjoys making current events as silly as possible and sharing stories from her time growing up in middle Georgia.
