Aurora Theatre presents

Christmas Canteen (in July)

Jul 23, 2022-Jul 24, 2022

Christmas only comes once a year… and that is simply not enough. Aurora Theatre is hauling out the holly for a summertime sprinkle of holiday magic. Bring your beach chairs and kick back for an evening of fun al fresco. Just like the wintertime version, this show has humor, heart and spectacular music. Christmas Canteen (in July) has us more excited than a child trying to fall asleep on Christmas Eve.

July 23-24, 2022
8PM in the Courtyard

Tickets from $15

Tickets are available in 3 sections.
Premium Seating: $30, seats provided in the first three rows.

Like our Festival of Trees each winter, Christmas Canteen in July supports Lawrenceville Co-Op Food Bank. Please bring a donation of non-perishable grocery items to the performance. To learn more about the most critical needs, visit lawrencevilleco-op.org/donate.

Will there be food or drinks?
Yes! Aurora Theatre’s concession and bar will be open before the performance.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Patrons are permitted to bring personal food items and small coolers. Space in the courtyard is limited, if your items are too large you will be asked to stow them in your vehicle. No outside alcohol permitted.

What does Premium Seating mean?
Don’t want to bring a chair and want to make sure you have a seat closest to the stage? The Seated section is for you. We’ll have chairs set in traditional theatre seating rows. Seating will be assigned by us based on the best available to accommodate the size of your party.

What does Bring Your Own Chair mean?
Your ticket allows you entrance into the Courtyard, which is a large outdoor space. We’ve dedicated a section without designated seating.

If you would like to ensure you don’t have to stand the entire show, we encourage you to bring a camp chair. Our staff and volunteers may need to adjust where and how you have set up your chairs so we can comfortably accommodate all of the ticketed patrons.

What is the plan for bad weather?
In the unlikely event of inclement weather, performances will take place in the Mainstage theatre. Indoor seating assignments will be prioritized based on the outdoor section purchased.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS as of 3/7/22:

  • Vaccinated patrons use of face masks is optional.
  • Unvaccinated patrons are strongly encouraged to wear masks.
  • Anyone exhibiting any signs of coronavirus, including but not limited to cough, fatigue, headache, excessive sneezing or elevated temperature, are asked to stay home.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  • Lawrenceville Arts Center has adopted state of the art air-handling equipment, including extensive UV filtration units, to provide cleaner, fresher air.

We believe that maintaining the health and safety of our community, including our staff, artists and patrons, shouldn’t be a matter of debate or political preference. To that end, we ask everyone in our community to respect these policies.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation and patience.

The situation is fluid. Please check our website for updates.
