After the wildly popular Midsummer Jr. the past two summers, Atlanta Shakespeare returns with new show to introduce young people to Shakespeare’s language and characters. Tempest Jr. is a 45-minute version of the comic tale of Prospero, a deposed duke turned sorcerer, as he orchestrates events on a deserted island with magical creatures. The performance is filled with audience interaction as the story is told by 4 charming and energetic professional actors who utilize sound effects, live music, and… puppets! – to make the festivities fun and engaging!

Mago Junior Ascanio was the clown from CIRCO MAGICO ROLAN, the National champion of children’s magic, and he will make you laugh with his crazy magic world! Mago Junior is a Venezuelan artist with more than 10 years of experience. He is passionate about the circus and likes to fuse arts like magic, clowns, mimes, juggling, music, and more. You may have seen him at many of his live performances in metro Atlanta, including performances with the Atlanta Braves.

Aurora Theatre assembles the best children’s performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County in order to give parents and their children a chance to experience their artistry in our amazing facility in downtown Lawrenceville.
We feature puppeteers, magicians, storytellers, jugglers and musicians as a part of this series intended for youngsters to have their first theatrical experiences. At about 45 minutes in length, perfect for the young attention span, these lively performances are fun for the whole family.
