Trail of Resilience: The Beginning of Understanding

We want to invite you to commemorate this day by welcoming an indigenous art piece by Artist Andromeda Grimm and a proclamation by Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson. This art piece will establish our commitment to creating a place of belonging for our Native American/Indigenous community. Strange Taco’s food truck will be onsite with tacos available for purchase.

ANDROMEDA GRIMM

Andromeda Grimm was born and raised in Southern California on and off the reservations, they are Miwok and Chippewa-Cree and learned their way from their Nookum who is from the Rocky Boy Tribe in Montana. Recently, Andromeda learned they are also Tarahumara Native from their father’s side, originated in Chihuahua, Mexico. After obtaining a Bachelor in Forensic Psychology and a Master in Criminal Justice, Andromeda is currently working in a Mental Health Facility where they use their performance, makeup, and drag artistry to heal and advocate for their community.
